Casting to Android TV / Google TV

Google Cast to Android TV and Google TV devices.

Android TV and Google TV (Sony, Hisense, TCL, Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, etc.) all support Google Cast natively. Air Cast uses the official Google Cast SDK.

Setup

  1. Make sure the TV is on and connected to the same WiFi as your iPhone
  2. Tap your TV in Air Cast
  3. Pick a photo, video, or audio file — it plays on the TV

Screen mirroring on Android TV

Mirror to Android TV uses the Default Media Receiver: your screen is captured into a live stream and the TV plays it as media. There's a 1–3 second buffer that's noticeable in fast games but invisible in normal use.
