Mirror is laggy or stuttering
Smooth out a stuttery mirror stream.
Lag is almost always WiFi-related. Quick fixes:
Quick wins
- Switch to 5GHz on the iPhone if available
- Connect the TV by Ethernet if it has a port
- Move closer to the router
- Lower mirror quality: Air Cast Settings → Mirror Quality → Standard
Try a different protocol
For TVs that support multiple methods, swipe up on the TV row in Air Cast and pick a different method (e.g., DLNA instead of AirPlay 2). Some TVs handle one protocol noticeably better than another.
Background apps
If you're running a Zoom call, large Photos download, or a video upload, those eat your upstream bandwidth. Pause them while mirroring.
