Casting to LG webOS TVs

Mirror and cast to LG TVs running webOS.

LG TVs from 2019+ support AirPlay 2 natively. Older webOS TVs are still supported via DLNA and the LG SSAP protocol.

2019 and newer (recommended)

  1. Settings → General → AirPlay → ON
  2. Pick the TV in Air Cast — done.

Older LG webOS

Air Cast uses LG's native SSAP protocol or DLNA. The first connection prompts a "Pair this device" dialog on the TV — confirm with the LG remote. The pairing is remembered.

If pairing keeps re-prompting

Some older LG models forget the pairing if "Mobile TV On" is disabled. Settings → Connection → Mobile TV On → ON.
