Casting to Roku

Mirror and cast to Roku devices and Roku TVs.

Roku 4K devices from 2020+ support AirPlay 2. That's the cleanest path. Older Roku devices fall back to DLNA for media casting and the browser fallback for mirroring.

Enable AirPlay on Roku

  1. Settings → Apple AirPlay and HomeKit
  2. AirPlay → ON
  3. Require Code → set to "First Time Only" for convenience

If "Apple AirPlay and HomeKit" is missing from the menu, your Roku model is too old. Air Cast still casts photos and videos via DLNA.
