Casting to Samsung Smart TVs

Mirror and cast to Samsung TVs (2018+).

Samsung TVs from 2018 and newer all support AirPlay 2. Air Cast picks the best path automatically:

  • Mirror: AirPlay 2 (primary), DLNA fallback for older models
  • Photo / video cast: AirPlay 2 or DLNA
  • Audio: AirPlay 2 or DLNA

One-time setup on the TV

  1. Press Home on the Samsung remote
  2. Settings → General → Apple AirPlay Settings
  3. AirPlay → ON
  4. Require Code → "First Time Only" (recommended) or "Off" (most convenient)

Common gotchas

  • Models before 2018 don't support AirPlay. Air Cast falls back to DLNA for media casting, and the browser-mirror fallback (open a URL on the TV) for screen mirroring.
  • If "AirPlay Settings" is missing in your TV menu, run a software update: Settings → Support → Software Update → Update Now.
